“He gives to strength to the weary and increases the power
of the weak”
That sums up our day well!
We got up EARLY, loaded up and bundled up for a 1.8 mile
road to the Badger all before the sun came up.
Our boarding went very smoothly on the SS Badger to take us across to Manitowoc.
Right after we were all on safely, it poured buckets!!! We were grateful
to be warm and dry inside enjoying breakfast.
While on the boat we ate, socialized, played some bingo, or
really relaxed. Then we might have ate
again.
Our crossing should have been 4 hours but difficulties
docking set us back another hour and a half, add to that the 20 mph winds we were up against and the riding part of the
day started out very slow. Putting us way behind schedule. The going was slow
but by the time we got to Green Bay at around 6:30 (7:30 Michigan) the sun was
out.
We rode past Lambeau Field (should’ve been draped in black)
and at the last break Nancy had a very fitting quote.
As you can tell we have fun out on the road, but on a
serious note we are fully aware that this is all about God and His kingdom
work.
We were so covered in prayer today. We know it because we felt them in every
moment and in every situation. Keep them
coming, they work. We talk all day about
where we see God’s hand in this, whether it is for our riders or our support
team. He is everywhere and in every
thing. He is the Alpha and the Omega. He
calms the storm. He is so good to us.
Now we are off to a fish boil! More on that tomorrow!
